After creating form fields on your document in the Document Overlay screen, you have the ability to group multiple fields together. When executing the document, Signers will be able to fill out one, and only one, of the fields from the group. This is ideal for a series of checkboxes from which you only want the signer to make one selection.
To group Overlay components together, first click the Select icon from the Tools menu. You will then use your cursor to draw an imaginary box around all of the components you wish to group, effectively selecting all of the fields. Once selected, a window will pop up indicating the number of selected components. Click Extras and then click the Grouping drop-down menu to name the group. The name of the group will not be displayed to the Signers, but please note a unique name must be set for each group in the Overlay.
